Attendees will explore various stone types, setting methods, and design principles. They will gain practical skills in crafting a secure and aesthetically pleasing stone- on -stone setting, enhancing their skills and understanding of how different stones can complement each other.

Artisans in this workshop will leave with their own beautifully crafted ring or pendant, showcasing their newfound skills and creativity.

This workshop is demo & practice intensive. Students may not leave with a finished project. Studio3 will provide a practice material & tool kit for this workshop at an additional cost. Feel free to bring extra material for a project if time allows after practice. If you plan a project, I would suggest planning to flush set the stones in sterling. Please note that the stone settings require thicker gauge material, so consider 4×1 sterling rectangle wire added to either sterling, brass, bronze or copper sheet or 4x2mm rectangle wire for earrings or ring.

In this workshop, feel free to mix metals but make sure the jump rings you order to create the elements are all the same gauge. Remember you will need multiple for your elements and smaller for your connectors. You will need sheet metal if you choose to create discs to use in your elements. Studio3 will have brass, copper and bronze sheet meal available to purchase.
